There is a speaker icon in the bottom right corner of your screen that when double-clicked will allow you to adjust the overall volume for your system. Keep in mind, however, that media software generally has a volume control of its own which sometimes overrides the system volume. A good approach to setting the volume on your computer is to set all volume controls to a middle setting and then adjust the system volume as necessary.
