Stream speed

In order to experience streaming media, you'll need to know how fast your connection to the Internet is. Media is typically offered at different bitrates—the higher the bitrate, the higher the media quality. Different ways of connecting to the Internet allow different bitrates. A dial up modem can only support very slow bitrates; dedicated Internet connections (such as ISDN, DSL, or a T1) can support higher bitrates.

If you don't know the speed of your Internet connection, test it here.
