Streaming Help for Windows Download Software

Troubleshooting RealPlayer

If your software is working properly, but you are experiencing poor stream quality (for example, if a stream shows up but skips and freezes), go here.

Read the "readme" file in the folder where you installed RealPlayer. You may also go to the favorites menu when RealPlayer is open and take the tutorial, visit RealPlayer's Frequently Asked Questions at: http://service.real.com/help/faq/, or visit the Knowledge Base at: http://service.real.com/kb/

Oftentimes, though, the best approach is to "jiggle the wires." The core parts of RealPlayer are solid, wonderfully written software, but the package includes a lot of marketing and needless features which can occasionally prevent the software from doing what it does best. In general, uninstalling and reinstalling RealPlayer is the simplest way to fix any problems with the software.
