Windows Media Player 7 for the Mac uses the same compression technology as its famous Windows cousin. To download and install Windows Media Player click here.

1. Select "Player 7.01 for Mac" from the pulldown menu.

2. Click "Download Now."

3. Windows Media Player for Mac will download to the download location specified in your browser. Typrically, this is the desktop. You will need to use StuffIt Expander to decompress Windows Media Player for Mac. You can get StuffIt Expander from Aladdin Systems.

4. When the download is complete, double-click the file that was downloaded.

5. A "self-extracting" process will begin and you will be given the choice of where to installer for Windows Media Player.

6. Click on the newly decompressed installer to begin installing Windows Media Player.

7. Accept the End-User agreement and then read the following "Read Me" screen for pre-installation and installation information. Follow the instructions to install.

8. Once you have finished installing Windows Media Player you should restart your computer.

9. Test your new Windows Media Player.
