Dan Arthurs, founder, CEO, is a new media producer and audio post
production engineer. He has decades of hands-on experience with all
aspects of digital media production including: audio
editing/mixing, sound recording, sound design, video editing,
interactive DVD production, streaming media production, and
restoration/archiving. He established Spork Ltd. in 1998 to offer
digital media services to noncommercial clientele.
Stephen Brier is the Associate Provost for Instructional Technology
and External Programs and the co-founder and co-director of the New Media
Lab at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Mr. Brier
coordinates all StreamingCulture® activities within CUNY. He is an award-
winning multimedia, video, and film producer who was the founding director
of the American Social History Project/Center for Media and Learning at CUNY
and the co-creator and co-author of the ASHP's acclaimed Who Built
America? multimedia U.S. history curriculum. He has written, directed,
and produced a number of award-winning historical documentary and public
affairs videos, films, CD-ROMS, and websites. He is responsible for all
aspects of instructional technology at The Graduate Center. Mr. Brier
received his Ph.D. in U.S. History from UCLA.
John Roche, special advisor, business management, is a publisher,
private investor, developer and producer of documentaries and other
specialized video. Among numerous other distinctions, Mr. Roche is the founder of Petunia Productions and sits on the Board of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
Alberta Arthurs, co-founder, is former Director of Arts and
Humanities at the Rockefeller Foundation. Her career in the arts and
humanities has given her experience across the international performing arts
community, and her experience as a philanthropist and arts administrator is
one of many factors setting StreamingCulture® apart from commercial companies
working in the online media space.
